(Denver-CO) Just announced during the first quarter of tonight's Nuggets game vs. the Heat: J.R. Smith will replace Rudy Gay in the Dunk Contest! Rudy Gay is sidelined with a hip injury and the door just swung wide open for the Prodigy. This isn't the first time J.R. Smith has participated either. He was a contestant in the 2005 affair and finished third overall when the festivities were held in Denver. Enjoy!
