(Denver-CO) This All-Star weekend was a bit of a let down to me. For starters, J.R. Smith flopped in the Dunk Contest. Here are the clips of his dunks, but what I can't understand is why he employed the help of Sonny Weems for a pass from the stands when Chauncey Billups could have, and would have, thrown a much better pass on probably the first try. And I'll be the first to say that if jumping off of someones back and dunking the ball is dunk contest worthy then the NBA should get at me because that was so lame Nate Robinson should be ashamed of himself. That's something only a 15-year-old JV player does at the gym by my house!
As for Chauncey, it's not like these kind of games are made for his style of play which is more substance than style. However, I was a little bit, how should I say, let down by his performance. Mr. Big Shot scored five points, handed out three assists, but also had three turnovers.
Oh well, at least LeBron is going to be in the dunk contest next year! Now all we need is for some other top notch competition to enter so we don't have to watch Nate Robinson's schtick or Dwight Howard tease us.
Wednesday can't come quick enough!
Go Nuggets!

i know it is difficult. we see so little team spirit that when it comes along it's hard to recognize. but jr worked with his teammate - who worked with him.
if you think about it, you gotta love jr for working with sonny.
