(Denver-CO) This makes me laugh, but in all reality isn't very funny. Actually, it's probably the perfect excuse for the Nuggets to lose to the Pistons tonight! Carmelo Anthony has been suspended by the Nuggets for what is being reported as, "Multiple sources said coach George Karl tried to take Anthony out of the game in the third quarter, but Anthony refused to come out, disrespecting the coach."
Really? In the third quarter?
I can see, but would never defend, a player doing this in the final minutes of a close game, but in the third quarter the Nuggets were winning the game! Carmelo should have sat down, drank some Gatorade, and caught his wind while trying to figure out why your jump shot isn't falling. But now, because of Carmelo's act of selfishness, the Nuggets will have to play a regrouping Piston team without him.

That is what makes Deron Williams twice the superstar that Melo is. Deron respects his coaches and would take an issue like this behind closed doors.
What's that division lead down to? 2 games?
After the Nuggies lose to Portland and Utah beats Houston, that will make it a one game lead, at which point Denver will lose to Utah on Friday and we'll be tied.
I love it.
