(Denver-CO) Here's your debut of a new daily series, "Nuggets of Note", where anything concerning the Denver Nuggets gets linked up with a short interpretation from your's truly. Plenty to read today, so what are you waiting for?

- The Painted Area has an idea for an NBA Hall of Fame. And while I'm all for separating basketball's great history into appropriate categories (mainly because it would give me more basketball destinations to cross off my list) the mere fact that they question whether or not David Thompson deserves a HOF nod blows me away!

- While we're on the subject of David Thompson... Evidently, the greatest of all-time, Michael Jordan, holds him in high regards. And with how many people Jordan roasted in his HOF speech that's an honor all in its own.

- Get to know Nuggets rookie point guard, Ty Lawson. Rashaan Gethers, Nuggets.com correspondent, interviewed Lawson and asked questions ranging from learning from Chauncey Billups and who he's looking forward to playing against in his rookie year.

- A true veteran quote, "It's not always about names and pickups. You still got to allow those teams to mesh. We've meshed. I don't put much stock in it, although there are a lot of teams..." -G Chauncey Billups, unconcerned that his Nuggets mostly stood pat during the summer while other top NBA teams made key acquisitions.

- Agent Robert Montgomery thinks that Desmond Mason could help the Nuggets. Recently cleared with, "a clean bill of health", I think that Montgomery is right! He's a veteran, wouldn't need a lot of minutes, and is cut from the same physical cloth as Dahntay Jones.

- Free agent Robert Kurz might pass up a training camp invite with the Cleveland Cavaliers to try and find a roster spot with the Denver Nuggets. What intrigues me about this young, 6'9", second-year player is how he shot 40% from downtown in 40 appearances with Golden State last season. Granted... he only played an average of eleven minutes per appearance.

That's it for now, Nuggets Nation. A full load of content is slated for tomorrow.

Go Nuggets!
