(Denver-CO) I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and while doing so realized that the Colorado State University Rams are now 3-0 and are receiving votes for the NCAA Top 25. Meanwhile, here's your Nuggets of Note.
- Former Nugget, Rodney Rodgers, was honored at his college Alma mater, Wake Forest, during this weekend's football game. The 38-year-old Rogers injured his spinal cord riding a dirt bike in November 2008 and is a quadriplegic. It was his first public appearance at Wake Forest since the accident. Rogers was the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year in 1993, when he was a first-round pick of the Denver Nuggets. He played 12 seasons in the NBA and won the league's Sixth Man Award in 2000 with the Phoenix Suns.
- Tim Chisholm of TSN has a nice article concerning whether or not the Denver Nuggets, "Can Break the Western Curse". There's a lot of good things to consider in the article and I encourage you to read it.
- Kenyon Martin knows how to give back to the community that gave him so much.
- And in the spirit of giving back, the Denver Nuggets and Sport Court of Colorado held a donation ceremony of a basketball court and hoop to a Boulder public housing property on September 19, 2009 in Boulder, Colorado.
Go Nuggets!
