(Denver-CO) Is it Christmas or something? Have I been in a coma? Somebody pinch me! It is being reported that James "Flight" White, former University of Florida and University of Cincinnati hoop star, has been signed by the Nuggets via Houston for the rights to Axel Hervelle.
My excitement stems from having known, and followed, White from his high school exploits via street ball mixtapes and various other basketball outlets due to his extreme athleticism. Flat out: DUDE. CAN. FLY.
I've been saying for years that White would destroy any and all challengers in an NBA dunk contest and we all might just get to see him do so in a Denver Nuggets uniform. Think I'm crazy? White can dunk from the free-throw line while putting the ball between his legs!
This is a huge, and exciting, move by the Denver Nuggets. White is versatile, athletic (to say the least) and is capable of helping this team in a variety of ways. Furthermore, he averaged 25.9 points per game for Anaheim in the D-League last season, tying the league high. Learn more about "The Future of Flight" from his Wiki page.
Go Nuggets!
