(Denver-CO) Have the Clippers ever not been handicapped by an injury, bust, or flat-out disarray? Oh wait, I forgot about how they gave the Nuggets an early first round exit in 2006. My mistake.
And speaking of handicapped, head over to Doc’s Sports for a look at
NBA handicapping from some of the best in the business.
As for the Clippers, well… Let’s just say it’s not 2006 and the word handicapped would be an understatement. In fact, decimated would be a better word for the Clippers who will be without first overall pick, Blake Griffin (knee cap), Kareem Rush (knee), Marcus Camby (back), and Eric Gordon (groin) for tonight’s game.
Am I the only one who smells blood in the water?
Needless to say, this is a game the Nuggets should win. With that many injuries to that many key players the Clippers are a shell of who their roster portrays them to be. Adding insult to injury (pun intended) is L.A. losing five out of their last six games by an average of 14 points. And while some might call this a “trap game” I don’t buy it. The Nuggets are coming off of two days rest and are playing too good right now to drop a game to the lowly Clip show. Furthermore, for a trap to be successful its victim must not see it coming and I believe the Nuggets’ eyes are wide open and aware of everything L.A. might be capable of.
Go Nuggets!
