(Denver-CO) With their last road win coming in dramatic fashion in Chicago the Nuggets can  not afford let the Bulls to split the season series tonight in Denver. The Nuggets come into tonight's game having lost four out of their last five road games and will be looking for a little bit of home cookin' tonight when the Bulls come to town looking to even the score.

My hope is George Karl strategically gave Chris Andersen the night off last night so he could rest in preperation for the league's top rebounder, Joakim Noah.  Chris Andersen is suffering from tendinitis of the patella and has been experiencing some soreness recently, but if there was good time for the Bird to fly it would be tonight because the first thing that comes to mind after last night's loss to the Clippers is how much the Nuggets missed his inside presence. The Clippers shot nearly 50% from the field last night and feasted on the Nuggets inside with Kenyon Martin ending up being the only Nugget to block a shot.

So, if indeed the Bird comes back tonight it will huge for the Nuggets because Denver is painfully thin on their front line. In fact, George Karl resorted to playing only guards Earl Smith, Ty Lawson, and Joey Graham for the majority of his bench minutes after Malik Allen played just seven minutes and finished with a team worst -18+/-. It's also interesing to note that Chris is the Nuggets' top +/- player  at +77 overall.

Another line I like is Doc's NBA line. It always gives me the best NBA odds.

It's important tonight for the Nuggets to break the disturbing trend of losing the second game of back-to-back sets. Denver has lost its last two games on the second night, but in their defense, all four of their second games in this scenario so far this season have been on the road.  Tonight's game is  the first time Denver has come home to the Pepsi Center on the tail end of back-to-back games and the Nuggets are undefeated (4-0) at home so far this season.

The Bulls come into tonight's game looking to rebound after losing, 108-93, to the Lakers on Thursday. The Bulls surrendered 100 points for only the second time this season and trailed by as many as 24 points whiling giving up a season-high 60 points in the paint. Derrick Rose led the Bulls offensively with 20 points and six assists, but shot just 2-11 in the first half as the Bulls fell behind by double digits early.

Go Nuggets!
